Why Fabric Buildings

Advantages of working with the industry-leading fabric building manufacturer & construction team

Greystone has 37+ years of construction experience. Not only do we build fabric structures, but we build pre-engineered metal buildings, tilt wall, precast and conventional brick and mortar buildings as well. With that expertise, we know fabric buildings can provide advantages compared to traditional structures and are ideal for a wide variety of applications in the commercial, industrial, and agribusiness industries. Our Fabric Building Division, who has installed thousands of fabric buildings across the US, partners with our premier fabric building manufacturer, Britespan Building Systems, to bring you the following list.

1. Cost & Construction Efficiency

Fabric buildings are more affordable than traditional structures and can oftentimes be constructed in less than a week. Fabric covered buildings are low maintenance and if designed correctly provide air circulation thereby greatly reducing condensation and its corrosive effects. The fabric covering is resistant to UV rays while also allowing natural light through, reducing lighting costs and creating a safer work environment.

2. Engineering

Our engineered fabric buildings are safe, insurable, and reliable. All of our engineered buildings follow International Building Codes and are designed to meet your local wind, snow, seismic and unbalanced snow loads. Britespan employs in-house structural designers and external third-party licensed Professional Engineers (PE) to review and seal all Britespan designs.

3. Clearspan Widths, Unlimited Lengths, & Custom Designs

Fabric buildings can clear span anywhere from 24 feet wide to 210 feet wide. Fabric structures can be virtually any length and can easily be lengthened further as your operations grow. And when you need custom, Britespan has you covered, literally.

4. Lead Times

When schedule is of utmost importance to your business operations, you can count on Britespan to provide reliable lead times and cost controls in changing markets.

5. Quality Assurance

Expect a high-quality, lasting fabric building when you partner with a manufacturer who only uses the highest quality building materials and executes a stringent quality assurance program with a focus on continuous improvement. Britespan has achieved ISO 9001 Certification, the world’s most recognized quality standard and proof of their unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.

6. Hot Dipped Galvanizing - Post Production

For highly corrosive environments like salt or fertilizer storage, you need to be sure your fabric structure's steel frames and welded components receive a hot-dipped galvanized finish after fabrication to ensure a complete zinc coating both inside and out.
