Installation Complete: Isabella County, Michigan Salt Storage Dome

The GC Fabric Building Division recently wrapped up two 80' x 120' salt storage domes for the Isabella County in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Each salt dome includes 8' bunker panels and sits on pad and pier foundations for lasting performance. These structures offer a cost-effective solution for high-capacity, weather-resistant salt storage.

Scope of Work

• Two 80' x 120' Apex Series Buildings from Britespan

• Engineered Building per IBC for Project Site

• 12 ounce, 23 mil polyethylene Non-FR fabric

• Hot Dipped Galvanized Building Components

• 8' Precast L Bunker Panels with Corrosion inhibitor 

• Engineered Concrete Foundation Featuring Pad and Piers Extending 2' Above Grade

• One Open End Wall Per Building

• One End Wall with Steel Framing Per Building

• Four 3' x 3' Mesh End Wall Vents Per Building
