Installation Complete: Albany, Oregon Commercial Composting Facility
Super Atlas & Easy Access Compost Buildings
The City of Albany’s composting operation features two Britespan fabric structures designed to support high-volume organic waste handling while providing durability, ventilation, and efficient equipment access.
The Easy Access Series building includes concrete block walls that divide compost into dedicated bays, making it easy for equipment to load and manage different material types. Its open-face design and high-clearance interior offer smooth, efficient access for daily compost operations.
With a higher profile and wider clear span, the Super Atlas Series building accommodates larger machinery and deeper compost bays. An interior block wall shields the steel trusses from direct contact with compost, improving durability and safety. The structure’s natural ventilation and light make it well suited for long-term organic material management.
These Britespan buildings work together to streamline compost handling for the city, providing organized, weather‑protected areas for storing, separating, and processing organic material.
