St. Michael, Minnesota Waste Water Treatment Facility

The GC Fabric Building Division completed an 82' x 442' fabric covered building for the St. Michael Wastewater Treatment Facility in St. Michael, Minnesota. The structure includes stainless steel cable upgrades and hot-dipped galvanized building components for enhanced strength and corrosion resistance. It also features 5-foot eave extensions along both sidewalls, with open sides below the eave elevation to support ventilation and accessibility.

Clear-span fabric buildings are an ideal solution for wastewater treatment facilities because they provide large, unobstructed interior space for equipment, material storage, and operational access. The fabric membrane allows abundant natural light while the open-sided design promotes airflow to help manage moisture and reduce condensation. Combined with corrosion-resistant components, these structures offer a durable, cost-effective solution for the demanding conditions commonly found in wastewater treatment environments.
