Shakopee, Minnesota Organics Recycling Facility

The GC Fabric Building Division relocated and repurposed a fabric structure that we originally constructed years ago, transforming it into two separate buildings, including a 100' x 160' storage building and a 100' x 144' tipping building for Dakota Prairie Composting. The project demonstrates the long-term value, flexibility, and sustainability of fabric building construction by extending the life of an existing structure while supporting the facility's ongoing operations. Today, the organics recycling facility processes more than 155,000 tons of organic material annually, helping divert waste from landfills and support sustainable resource recovery efforts.
