Savage, Minnesota Bulk Salt Storage Dome

The GC Fabric Building Division completed a 130' x 304' bulk deicing salt storage dome in Savage, Minnesota. With storage for 35,000 tons of salt, this high-capacity fabric storage structure includes 12' precast concrete bunker panels and concrete pad and pier foundations extending 4' above grade. The clear-span interior maximizes usable storage space and allows for large salt stockpiles, while the durable fabric cover helps protect the salt from moisture exposure and supports year-round storage operations. The open-front design provides easy access for loaders and other equipment, allowing materials to be moved in and out of the building efficiently.
