San Diego, California Fabric Military Hangars

The GC Fabric Building Division completed three 100' x 280' fabric military hangars at Naval Air Station North Island near San Diego, California. These fabric covered buildings provide enclosed, climate-controlled space for aircraft storage and operations. To help protect aircraft and equipment in the coastal environment, the hangars include dehumidification equipment that reduces moisture and minimizes corrosion effects. Large 90' wide by 20' high tilt-up doors at each end of the building allow aircraft to move efficiently in and out of the facilities.
